Do Now 10/19

A few things I would be able to use Google Forms would be scientific research. Another example would be starting a business, both in-school and out of school projects. Another few examples would be if you would like to make a practice test for yourself to help you study. Google forms can be used for many different thing these are just a few things I would use Google forms for.

Hackers Can Turn Siri and Google Now Against You

Hacker Can Turn Siri And Google Now Against You

According to a report from Wired though, a pair of researchers at ANSSI a French government agency have figured out a way to use radio waves to silently activate Siri or Android’s Google Now from across the room. The hack only works if the target device has Siri or Google Now enabled, and has headphones or earbuds plugged in that also have a microphone. The attack could be used to anything you can do using the Siri or Google Now voice interaction.  The attacker could make calls, send text messages, open  websites, send spam or emails, or post to social networks like Facebook and Twitter. Attacks like these are possible but unlikely.

Apple Ad-Blocking

Apple has removed several ad-blocking apps from its Store that created a risk of "man-in-the-middle" security breaches.  While Apple now permits ad-blockers for Safari, the banned apps also block ads from native apps by installing their own "root certificates" and shunting all traffic through a VPN. From there, they read the unencrypted traffic and remove ads, provided you enable the feature. While there were no reported breaches, Apple decided to pull the apps, noting that they "install root certificates which enable the monitoring of customer network data that can in turn be used to compromise SSL/TLS security solutions." Starting with iOS 9, Apple decided to allow regular ad-blockers for Safari and other browsers, provided they don't monitor user traffic.

Android powered Smartwatch

Swiss Watchmaking/Credit: Tag Heuer

Swiss watchmaker TAG Heuer is gearing up to officially unveil its Android-powered smartwatch next month. CEO Jean-Claude Biver this week told CNBC'S Squawk on the Street that the company will raise the curtain on its smart wearable on Nov. 9 in New York.

The device will cost $1,800, Biver said, up from the $1,400 price tag floated earlier this year. It's also pricier than the new Apple Watch Hermes collection, which ranges from $1,100 to $1,500, but doesn't come close to the uber-expensive Apple Watch Edition, which runs as much as $17,000.

Biver previously told Bloomberg that the watch's battery will offer about 40 hours of power on a charge. That far exceeds the Apple Watch battery, which was designed to last 18 hours with normal use.

The company in March first announced plans to design and launch a Smartwatch by the end of the year in collaboration with Intel and Google.
