Educational Technology and Copyright Law

As I read through Mark Brumley's article titled "Educational Technology and Copyright Law" I very quickly realized that Mark was explaining very clearly the purpose of copyrighting work and how to use a copyright file correctly. This article is very informational and helped me learn a lot about copyrighting. A few examples of what I learned would be...

  • You do not need to file for copyrighting. The instant you create something it is copyrighted!
  • You can use other peoples photos for educational purposes such as to present project during class
  • Factors in determining if you used the work fairly includes the purpose of the use and the potential market value in it
